had literally one of my worst days at work.
all the pent-up angst + stress level just made me explode into a walking ball of flames.
had a huge responsibility of setting up the pre-event booth only to get all the info wrong thanks to the incompetent events people (i totally hate them to the core). my amazing marketing colleague who performed and carried out all her duties in the way that i am so damn proud of her, that she actually made it through the day.
had a bust-up with my designer who insists that i gave her the wrong instructions and i swear i did not. argh.
had to explain myself to my colleagues that i am not insane and that i was NOT WRONG only to have them pacify me, and tell me it didn't matter.
sometimes it doesn't matter, but when u know u are right, u feel indignant to put the matter to rest and have people tarnish whatever 'good name' u have left.

enough about work.
after work i had dinner with one of my fave friends in the world, mike (aka my hotshot director-to-be friend) who is back from the states for a measly week.
it is always amazing to have a friend whom you share a common topic with. With us, its all about the films. He clued me in on how difficult it is to direct an actor, to do the lighting on the set (with how many foot candles) and the work that goes in to make a 7 minute film. With mike, all he does every single time he comes back, is to wow me with his relentless passion for his craft. Forget eric khoo, and don't even mention jack neo, cos to me, mike's the guy.
and just fyi, film noir is the way to go for the next film trend...
thanks for making my day, my dear friend, cos work, afterall, is just work.
(dammit... forgot to take a pic of future hotshot director... argh)
