the weekend.
it was a great weekend, though not totally over, but it brought lotsa smiles to my face.
every single week, i cannot wait for 6.30 pm to come on Friday, just so i can run out of my office, scan on the stupid fingerprint machine and get the hell outta there. Either work life has become such a drone or i am looking forward to my weekends way too much.
this week was no different. i left work at 4 pm, cos of an external meeting with a client and i got to breathe the Shenton Way air a little,, after which i headed down to town to meet E. We had a date to watch "The Lake House".
well, we are not exactly sappy movie fans, considering that "Dude, where's my car?" was the show that had the 2 of us bowling over with laughter, non-stop. we enjoy the occasional action flick or disaster-type movies like "Armaggeddon", the oscar-worthy kind like "Forrest Gump" and "Lost in Translation"but sappy romantic movies are really few and far between. one of our personal favourite is "City of Angels". That movie kinda hit home when we watched it, rendering both of us to tears. ha.
Back to " The Lake House", i wouldn't say its fantastic but i wouldn't go to the extent of rating it as 1/2 a star. I just feel that somehow if they were trying to capture the chemistry between the 2 leads, er, i would have enjoyed watching Speed for the 587th time. Thing is, we realised that through the time flashforwards and back, it did feel kinda like Back to the Future and that the most confused guy, would probably hafta be Morgan(Dylan Walsh from Nip/Tuck) or Keanu's gay looking brother...

on sat, we both concluded that age is catching up on us. not only is my 24th birthday coming. (Yes 24th oh my goodness... aaaa) we are beginning to do ah pek and ah ma activities.
for starters, we eat zi char!
er yar, when we were younger, we realised that we would like order a dish of fried rice or hor fun and that is it. BUT to our horror, we realised that we are ordering dishes of food, like tofu, veg etc and 2 bowls of rice! how ah pek is that??!! last nite, we became high class ah pek n ah ma, cos we went to Imperial Treasures and ordered 3 dishes with rice. The food was gooood but it came up to a nice costly sum too! haha.

secondly, we drink wine!
met up with our favourite couple, ans & lyn for an impromptu catch-up sesh since our HK days and we are laughing and saying how "heng" we are not to run into a typhoon when we were at Disneyland.
we headed to this place along Dempsey Road, called the Wine Network. we had an al fresco seat outside that was nice and windy, along with nice german "kabernett" or cabernet as we know it, we talked about everything and anything under the sun. ha, this is what a chill out sesh is like... great fun! (not to forget about prata later on.... damn sinful!)

last but not least, we're actually working on our rship.
how many kids actually do that? its either we're tog or we're not. but i guess with us, at least we value it so much more and that we're actually mature enough to work things out slowly.
i guess this is called growing up.
